Services at proCARE Therapy
PHYSICAL THERAPY
Physical Therapy (PT) often helps patients that have difficulty walking or performing other movements. PTs also help to reduce pain and to restore strength, endurance, balance, and function following injury, illness or joint replacement. PT can address a host of musculoskeletal issues, as well as related pain. This is the most well-known and frequently utilized therapy.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Occupational Therapy (OT) provides task-specific strengthening and coordination retraining. They focus on daily activities like dressing, bathing and cooking, and they develop the functional strength, coordination and balance needed to safely complete these tasks. OTs may focus on adaptive methods, cognitive strategies or equipment, as needed to reach the patient’s functional goals.
SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY
Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) treats patients who have dysphagia, a condition affecting the ability to swallow and eat safely. ProCARE Therapy uses cutting edge dysphagia technologies and produces exceptional outcomes. SLP also helps restore speech and language skills and provides cognitive strategies to patients who have lost abilities due to illness or other neurological conditions.
