Reno, Nevada, June 26, 2012 – Accelerated Care Plus Corp. (ACP), a Hanger company, announced today that it has renewed a previous business relationship with Hallmark Rehabilitation Services, based in Foothill Ranch, California. The nation’s leading provider of integrated clinical programs for post-acute rehabilitation, ACP will provide its therapeutic modalities, evidence-based clinical programs and on-site therapist training to many of Hallmark’s growing client list, which includes approximately 200 skilled nursing facilities across the country.

“ACP’s nationwide presence, scale and clinical resources provide a way for us to manage our modality program costs, while introducing a more flexible platform for growth,” Hallmark’s President and Chief Operating Officer Laurie Thomas said. “Over the years we have found that therapeutic modalities can positively impact patient outcomes and quality of life. The depth of programs and training provided by ACP will also enable our therapists to treat a broader range of conditions with this valuable technology.”

With the shorter hospital stays triggered by healthcare reform, a growing number of skilled nursing facilities have evolved their role in the community to provide cost-efficient post-acute rehabilitation for patients who have suffered an injury, had a recent surgical procedure or experienced some other serious medical condition. One of the leading contract rehabilitation providers in the country, Hallmark is focused on working with progressive skilled nursing facilities that have recognized this trend and want to upgrade their therapy services to meet the needs of post-acute patients. Hallmark’s services include physical, occupational, and speech therapies focusing on this more demanding patient population.

“We’re very pleased to be working with Hallmark again,” ACP President and Chief Operating Officer John Beach said. “Their organization is focused on delivering superior clinical and operational outcomes for their client facilities and they recognize that ACP can help contribute to those areas, while helping to manage the costs associated with an enterprise-level modality program.”

In addition to its involvement with post-acute care providers like Hallmark Rehabilitation, ACP also provides medical equipment, treatment programs and CEU approved therapist training for hospitals, outpatient clinics, home health agencies and professional sports teams. In its role with elite athletes, ACP was recently named the official supplier of therapeutic modalities to the prestigious IMG Academies, a Bradenton, Florida based multi-sport training and education complex that provides advanced coaching programs to youth, adult, collegiate, and professional athletes.

“Many people have a dated perception of skilled nursing facilities,” said Beach. “The fact is, there are a growing number of companies like Hallmark who are providing the same leading edge therapies for the general population that elite athletes have benefited from for many years. In either case, the idea is to get people back on their own playing field, so they can return to the things they enjoy.”
